The Tenth
Annual South Sound Traditional
Inuit Kayak Symposium (SSTIKS)
will take place June 15-17th, 2012, at Twanoh State Park (near Belfair), WA. SSTIKS is a volunteer-run and non-commercial event
(see
our non-commercial policy), with an attendance of over 120 Greenland style sea kayaker participants.
Each year at
SSTIKS we hold an auction (silent & live portions)
on the Saturday night to help to raise money to make the event more accessible at a reasonable price for paddlers and their families by defraying travel expenses for volunteer guest speakers and instructors.
Only
cash or checks are accepted;
pad your wallet so you can bid
on some of the following great
items we'll have at this year's
auction: Tow belt, kayak frame,
akuilisaq, paddling mitts,
norsaq, sprayskirt, drawknife,
QAJAQ USA items, instructional
DVDs, magazine subscriptions,
paddling bag, registration &
$250 travel comp for Delmarva
(Oct 2011), water canteens,
paddling cushions, gift
certificates for instruction/
tours/seminars and rentals,
t-shirt, baseball caps and more.
We welcome donations of kayak-related gear for our fundraising auction. Donors will receive proper mention as event supporters during the auction and on our web site, providing exposure for the company and its products and illustrating its support for Greenland style kayaking enthusiasts.
